Leadership – Exceeding Expectations
“If you want your team to exceed expectations you must first tell them the expectations they have to exceed.”
It seems a simple enough directive. Tell people what you expect of them.
Unfortunately, many Leaders forget to do this or they just assume that their team members know intuitively what is expected of them.
Whatever the case, if team members do not know or properly understand what is expected of them, they have little chance of exceeding the Leader’s expectations.
If you want to be a successful Leader, make it absolutely clear what is expected of those you are leading.
