Good Manners Always Matter

It is surprising how many people just don’t realize the importance of good manners.  We all need to be aware that many people notice when someone doesn’t display good manners. They notice when someone is rude, when they lack simple courtesy or are just downright disrespectful. They notice when someone does not say “Please” or “Thank you.” They notice when someone is simply just not polite.

It is those experiences of other people that often form our first impression.  And remember that

“You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.”

And that’s worth repeating

Think about it – and always remember these seven simple rules.

  1. Always say ‘Please’ and ‘Thank you’
  2. Always acknowledge people. Don’t ignore them
  3. Never deliberately embarrass someone
  4. Avoid bragging
  5. Show humility
  6. Be considerate of others
  7. If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t bother saying anything at all.

Good manners always matter – no matter the circumstances. They are the sign of a true professional.
